"We’ve
been playing gigs for PDM over at least the last 6 years in one form
or another and have always found their enthusiasm when it come to
promoting new live music second to none. PDM are supportive of both
new bands and of bands that find it hard to get gigs at more
conventional venues because they are not considered “mainstream”
enough.
They
are probably the fairest promoter who we have worked with in our 10
years of playing and put just as much work in to a small show as
they would a larger show. I know that any money made is ploughed
back in to PDM and that additional funds are always split between
the bands.
The
atmosphere they create at gigs is always welcoming and it never
matters how big all small the gig is, the energy and effort put in
is always the same.

"PDM
are a vital part of the local music scene, giving new unsigned
artists support and a platform to hone their craft. The regular PDM
shows at the Hat Factory provide existing unsigned artists a chance
to improve and build a fan base while at the same time giving brand
new acts a first chance to shine. They carefully select line-ups
rather than throwing 3 or 4 genres together proving that they
understand their audience for each show. This provides a really
entertaining evening for everybody including the bands themselves.
They also record every gig (audio and photographs) giving bands the
opportunity to review their performance and providing material to
promote themselves and future gigs. They command great respect on
the local music scene and regularly provide artists for larger
support slots and festival shows with useful knowledge and contacts
to help artists help themselves.
